Camp Standards
Please Read Carefully
1.
Loose fitting,
knee-length shorts and T-shirts are the perfect duo for a summer camp day.
Tank-tops, tight fitting Clothing, midriff tops, or
other questionable dress styles will not be permitted. Swimwear: modest
one-piece swimsuits for girls & boxer style for the boys.
2.
For all youth camps,
cell phones and all digital media & gaming devices
shall be turned in at registration. Highschool drivers will turn keys in
upon arrival.
3.
Fireworks, weapons,
vaping devices and other illegal substances are not
permitted. Baggage checks may be conducted in the name of camper safety.
4.
All personnel on the
campgrounds are to conduct themselves as becoming a Christian (Col. 3:17, I
Cor. 10:31) and must show proper respect to all persons. Physical displays of affection will not be
permitted.
- Attendance
at all scheduled events is required . No camper may leave the camp grounds (except for organized recreational
activities of the camp) without permission from the Program Director.
- All
accidents or illnesses must be reported to the camp health care provider.
- At
youth camps, all medications must be turned in to the camp health care
provider upon arrival.
- We
ask that campers not phone home nor parents phone campers except in an
emergency. However, letter writing is encouraged. Please send letters to
the camper at Whispering Cedars' address. 1-way emails can be sent to campermail@whisperingcedars.org.
- All
campers will be held financially responsible for abusive misuse of camp
property.
- No
pets allowed at youth camps. Family campers must keep their pets on a
leash or in a pen.
- Failure
to abide by the spirit of these standards may result in the camper being
sent home at his/her own expense.
- Visitors
welcome: Please call in advance, check-in upon
arrival, and observe camper standards.
- WCBC
is a family friendly campus with no smoking or alcohol permitted on the
property at any time.
